The Hidden Key To Lasting Physical Change

"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. " | Socrates

One of the most fulfilling and most challenging journeys you may ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. Perhaps you are in shape, wholly out of shape, or simply looking to lose some weight. However, developing a body that you really can be proud, one that is very healthy, and lets you truly adore each last piece of it really is a wonderful journey to travel down.

So what's the secret behind making an enduring change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table each day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you'll become deeply discouraged and daunted by the task at hand. Instead, really try and understand you're contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every time you do, you need to come back with a dedication to achieving something you've always really wanted. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each day. Without it, you'll suffer the the unavoidable and bad reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each and every single year on developing the body of their dreams because they are missing the ability to keep on coming back repeatedly timeand again.

Commitment also suggests itself, but not the commitment that you are likely thinking about. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must occur right now and if it does not occur now, it is not worthwhile. Your body is going to drastically change throughout all the years, so why don't you try and make a lifetime dedication to remaining healthy? Is that a marketable and marketable idea? Not really. But is it something that would actually change the course of your life? Absolutely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your entire life, you may at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is all about seeing the bigger picture than merely the few months in front of you until summer. It's honestly about developing something that you truly can be happy with for ever and ever. For me, that concept changed my life as I was able to ultimately hit my fitness goals after 12 years of wrestling with my body image and food issues. But as soon as I modified my world view of what I was making an attempt to accomplish, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it works for you. Make a lifetime commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term also.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change drastically.
